Senior Voice AI Engineer and Consultant

We’re looking for a Voice AI Engineer who can rearchitect and troubleshoot our existing real-time voice agent built on LiveKit. Our current system has numerous issues and, frankly, never worked as we intended. We need firstly a consultant-level freelancer to give us a run-down of what we have and what is possible with our goals. Phase 2 will be to implement the fixes for our agent to handle inbound calls, qualify leads, and schedule appointments for home care, assisted living, and healthcare providers. We're looking for someone who has built Voice AI agents. We are open to complete restructuring or moving to other platforms. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and configure existing AI-powered voice agents for inbound and outbound use cases • Design call flows, logic trees, and conversational scripts • Integrate voice agents with CRMs (e.g., GoHighLevel or similar platforms) • Configure telephony, call routing, and call handling logic • Optimize voice interactions for clarity, tone, and user experience • Test, troubleshoot, and improve performance based on real-world usage • Ensure all implementations follow platform, telecom, and compliance standards ## **Required Skills & Experience** • Proven experience building **Voice AI or conversational AI systems** • Hands-on experience with tools such as Liovekit, Vapi or similar voice automation platforms • Strong understanding of: -Call flow logic -Prompt design for voice interactions -API integrations -Experience working with CRMs and automation platforms -Ability to build systems that sound **natural, professional, and user-friendly** - Strong attention to detail and testing processes --- ## **Highly Preferred / Major Bonus** • **Hands-on experience with LiveKit** (strong advantage) • Experience configuring advanced conversational logic and voice behaviors • Familiarity with speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines • Experience with appointment booking and lead qualification workflows • Startup, SaaS, or marketing automation background --- ## **How to Apply** Please include: • A brief overview of your experience with voice AI or conversational systems • Specific mention of any experience with **Livekit** (if applicable) • Examples of similar projects you’ve worked on (no sensitive or restricted content) • Tools and platforms you are most comfortable using Apply tot his job
