About the Job The Senior Thermal Test Engineer position is a remote opportunity, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in thermal testing and validation, preferably in the consumer electronics industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermal management principles, extensive experience with thermal testing equipment and methodologies, and excellent problem-solving skills. As a Senior Thermal Test Engineer at Workwarp, you will be responsible for developing and executing thermal test plans, designing and implementing thermal test fixtures, and analyzing test data to ensure that our products meet the required thermal performance standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive thermal test plans for Pixel Watch products, including the design of thermal test fixtures and the selection of appropriate testing equipment. Conduct thermal testing and validation of products, using techniques such as thermal chamber testing, thermocouple measurements, and thermal imaging. Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on thermal performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending design or process changes as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure that thermal considerations are integrated into the product development process. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in thermal management and testing technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our testing methodologies and procedures. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 6 years of experience in thermal testing and validation, preferably in the consumer electronics industry. Strong understanding of thermal management principles, including heat transfer, thermodynamics, and thermal materials. Experience with thermal testing equipment, such as thermal chambers, thermocouples, and thermal meters. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex thermal issues and develop effective solutions. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in thermal testing and validation, with a focus on consumer electronics or similar products. Experience with heat transfer and electrical circuits, as well as 3D CAD software for fixture design. Ability to automate testing or data acquisition, using programming languages such as Python or LabVIEW. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
