About the Role We are looking for an exceptional Senior Technology Designer/RCDD who can lead our team in delivering complex, multi-discipline projects with precision and excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of assigned projects, including large-scale projects or multiple smaller projects with intricate features. Your expertise will be crucial in driving project success, and you will have the opportunity to direct a staff of engineers and technicians while actively contributing to business development efforts. Key Responsibilities Deliver complete design solutions for projects of varying sizes, making major design recommendations and decisions with minimal input from senior staff. Plan and coordinate design work, calculate costs, and create time schedules to assign design duties to junior staff members. Maintain project design notebooks, provide documentation data for permanent project files, and act as an advisor to junior project team members. Evaluate project staffing requirements, analyze problems, and write reports to ensure seamless project execution. Attend project meetings, prepare proposals and presentations, and maintain excellent client relationships to drive business growth. Identify prospective clients, assist in marketing efforts, and develop new projects with existing clients to expand our portfolio. Conduct quality control checks on other projects to ensure the highest standards of excellence. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor of Science degree in a related field, such as engineering, architecture, or a related discipline. A minimum of 7 years of qualifying experience in technology design, with a strong background in project management and team leadership. Alternatively, a minimum of 11 years of qualifying experience without a bachelor's degree, demonstrating exceptional skills and expertise in the field. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precision technical plans and drawings. Familiarity with materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and structures. Proficiency in Microsoft programs and BIM software, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification or equivalent. Experience with project management software and tools, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project. Familiarity with industry-specific software, such as Autodesk Revit or Graphisoft ArchiCAD. Strong business development and marketing skills, with a proven track record of securing new clients and projects. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff members.
