About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Designing Administrations group. As a test automation expert, you'll work closely with programmers to understand the complex advertising ecosystem and develop automated test suites using Python or other object-oriented languages. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the quality and reliability of our advertising systems, driving business revenue and enhancing the viewer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with programmers to understand the complex advertising ecosystem and identify areas for test automation
Design and develop automated test suites on UI, API, and integration levels using Python or other OO languages
Participate in design discussions to ensure the platform is built with testability and defect prevention in mind
Assist with troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of issues found across teams
Contribute to end-to-end acceptance tests and develop manual test cases where necessary
Drive the conversion of manual tests to automated tests whenever possible
Focus on high-impact areas of work, often 20% or more of the job, and contribute to building structures that are effective, fault-tolerant, and cloud-native
Lead and deliver multiple projects using an Agile methodology while reviewing colleagues' code and participating in developing technical and business approaches
Share ownership of the design and implementation of software projects or systems within the team and across the organization
Essential Qualifications
At least 2 years of hands-on software test automation experience, including both functional and non-functional test development
Proficiency in Python or other object-oriented languages
Knowledge of computer programming practices and Agile methodologies
Experience building or improving test automation frameworks
CI/CD integration and pipeline development experience in Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar tools
UI automation experience using Selenium, Robot, or Watir
Experience with Gherkin (BDD/TDD)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong passion for driving best practices in the testing space
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous conditions
Strong communication and collaboration skills
