We are ThinkShout, a certified B Corp digital-first agency that primarily serves progressive nonprofits and advocacy organizations—including leaders like the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Humane Society of the United States, the World Resources Institute, and Dēmos—in delivering exceptional web development, design, user experience, and strategy. We are always on the lookout for potential contractors that would be a good fit for our clients within the following disciplines: Design, Web Development, Project Management, and Strategy. Your work and approach must be rooted in anti-racist practices, and your experience, either lived or professional or both, should show a strong commitment to justice of all kinds. By completing this application, you will be added to our roster of potential contractors. Due to the nature of this being a rolling application process and because of the volume of applications, we want to be upfront that we are not able to guarantee an individual response to your application. If we have a project in mind that fits your experience and availability, we will be in touch to provide more specifics about the opportunity so that we can mutually assess if it's a match. ThinkShout will not reimburse applicants for any time spent preparing contract bids or proposals. Contractors will be required to complete a W-9, and sign an Independent Contractor Agreement at the start of our partnership which includes the following terms: The Contractor is an independent contractor, not The Company’s employee. The Contractor's employees or subcontractors are not The Company’s employees. The Contractor and The Company agree to the following rights consistent with an independent contractor relationship: • The Contractor has the right to perform services for others during the term of this Agreement. • The Contractor has the sole right to control and direct the means, manner, and method by which the services required by this Agreement will be performed. • The Company shall not require The Contractor or The Contractor's employees or subcontractors to devote full time to performing the services required by this Agreement. • Neither The Contractor nor The Contractor's employees or subcontractors are eligible to participate in any employee pension, health, vacation pay, sick pay, or other fringe benefit plan of the Company. The Contractor shall pay all income taxes and FICA (Social Security and Medicare taxes) incurred while performing services under this Agreement. The Company will not: • withhold FICA from The Contractor's payments or make FICA payments on The Contractor's behalf • make state or federal unemployment compensation contributions on The Contractor's behalf, or • withhold state or federal income tax from The Contractor's payments. ThinkShout works hard to provide equitable compensation to both active fulltime teammates, as well as contractors. If we have a project that needs contractor support, we will share information about the pay band for the corresponding opportunity at the same time as sharing details about the job scope itself. If you have a non-negotiable minimum hourly rate, you are welcome to share it within the application.
