Senior Software Engineer (DevXP)

The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We're cracking the online identity crisis in a scalable way, deploying excellence to keep Veriff on the cusp of innovation. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will do more than write code—you will help architect scalable systems, mentor engineers, and drive business impact. We are looking for problem solvers like you to ensure this happens. You will be the key owner of some of the core libraries in our P&E org, and you will collaborate and interact with a variety of stakeholders and teams. You’ll help us protect honest people online by:Owning and governing Veriff's internal Python packages, while ensuring these packages adhere to our standards, driving necessary structural changes, and acting as the primary owner to ensure quality and consistencyTaking ownership of the Python codebase maintained by the DevXP teamSupporting the broader Developer Experience team in daily operations, e.g.:Taking part in on-call schedule and other team ritualsManaging CI/CD pipelinesMaintaining base Docker images and various package registries (PIP, NPM, etc.)Automating deployment processesBuilding team's/engineering knowledge baseTracking costsOwning various in-house and external (e.g., GitHub) developer toolingYou are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:Strong Python skills Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Experience building and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL).Experience working with queueing and messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ).Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, Git, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).A passion for improving developer workflows and productivityYou’re an especially awesome match if you have:Golang and NodeJS experienceExperience with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.Frontend (React) experienceExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).Contributions to open-source projects.Knowledge of software testing principles.Experience using AI (in your solutions)Elements of Our Tech StackBackend: Python, Golang, Node.js (TypeScript)Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, TerraformData & ML: PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Python-based ML modelsWhy Veriff?
