As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining the infrastructure around our authorization systems, ensuring secure and controlled access to our platform products and services.
About the Role:
In this hands-on position, you'll design and implement distributed systems with a focus on authorization, collaborating closely with product and infra engineering teams to build new features and evolve our systems to meet growing business demands. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Designing and implementing significant parts of our authorization systems
Maintaining and debugging existing authorization systems
Providing technical support to other engineers and developers
Staying up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends
Collaborating within and across the Airbnb tech community
Your Expertise:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Experience working on distributed systems and evaluating trade-offs
Proficiency in Java
Experience working in Authorization systems (a plus)
Strong technical communication skills
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to a positive team culture
