We're on a mission to revolutionize the pet care industry, and we're looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain technology team, you'll play a critical role in designing and building high-complexity components and systems that drive our business forward.
Role Overview:
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data solutions using AWS services, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives and drive customer satisfaction
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning
Develop and maintain Tier 1 systems for cartonization, leveraging AWS services and best practices in software engineering
Responsibilities:
Guide team members in the definition, design, development, testing, and implementation of software functionality using agile methodologies
Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders, influencing collaborators and driving technical decisions
Ensure technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, maintainable, and scalable under sustained load
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices in software engineering and ensuring rigorous peer review
Collaborate with DevOps to design and manage cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery
Advocate for and implement software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Implement data security and compliance best practices, ensuring all data handling meets regulatory requirements and company standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar; or equivalent experience
7+ years of software engineering experience, with extensive experience in AWS data services (EC2, Lambda, S3)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Competitive salary range: $134,500.00 - $215,000.00
