Job Title: Senior Software Architect: Gemini-Integrated Payroll & Compliance System
Project Overview:
I am a Signal Supervisor for a major railroad requiring a robust, automated digital system to manage shifts, payroll, and FRA compliance. This is not a basic spreadsheet project. I am looking for a high-tier engineer to build an AI-Native ecosystem where Google Gemini Pro is the primary interface for data entry and reporting.
Core Deliverables:
Full Gemini Integration: The system must be fully operational via Gemini (Google Workspace Extension). I need to be able to use natural language (voice or text) to say, "Matt Morganti is VSD today," and have the system automatically update the roster, the calendar, and the financial tracker without manual cell entry.
Relational Database Engine: The backend must be a bulletproof Google Apps Script/SQL-style architecture. It must handle 50+ slots, multiple shifts (AM, PM, Midnights, Shop), and cross-reference them against a Master Roster without breaking.
Automated Regulatory Output: Pixel-perfect PDF generation for "Call-On" and "PSC" sheets. These must meet strict railroad legal standards: specific initials logic (First+Last), specific font colors (Black), and precise placement of absence codes (e.g., SCK, VSD) directly above employee names.
Real-Time Financial Analytics: A backend module that automatically calculates OT and Net Pay based on the active board data, feeding into a yearly tracker.
Technical Requirements:
Expert Level: Google Apps Script, Google Workspace APIs (Calendar, Drive, Sheets).
AI Implementation: Proven experience integrating LLMs (Gemini/OpenAI) into business workflows.
Compliance-Minded: Experience building systems where "close enough" isn't an option.
Mobile Optimized: The UI/UX must be rock-solid for use on field tablets and high-end mobile devices (S25 Ultra).
