Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sales Specialist to join the OTR Sales Team. This role will be responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within the OTR base of accounts and fleet industry.
Develop relationships and work with the OTR regional and national sales team to up sale corporate payments to OTR customers.
Identify/qualify opportunities for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within the OTR base of accounts and fleet industry.
Be creative in identifying the ârightâ target companies and initiating contact with the correct people within that organization.
Manage the sales process through the complete sales cycle from lead generation and initial prospect contact through to successful closing of deals and follow-up sales activities.
Effectively communicate WEXâs market proposition; accurately interpret clientsâ needs or pain points; propose suitable solutions.
Understand the prospect and their drivers and develop strong client relationships with a matrix of stakeholders within the organization.
Prepare high-quality presentations and proposals for submission to prospects in support of new business pitches and bid opportunities.
Experience in contract negotiation.
Provide timely and accurate revenue forecasting and management information; and report on a regular basis as required.
Work closely with the internal operations teams to optimize the sales process from the first customer contact and ensure smooth delivery of client services in line with customer expectations.
Keep the Salesforce and Account Management systems fully up to date with relevant data.
Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree
Minimum of 8-10 years of direct sales, account and/or channel management development experience.
OTR experience and/or virtual payment industry knowledge are a substantial plus.
Ability to participate in strategy development and lead attainment of critical objectives.
Proven track record of managing business development activities to achieve growth targets.
Required overnight travel 75%.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
