Role Overview We are seeking an autonomous and specialized Senior Quant Crypto Trader to operate as a dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Individual Contributor (IC). You will be solely responsible for managing and growing the firm's active digital asset treasury and product offering. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical ability and a proven track record of profitable implementation in crypto markets. Key Responsibilities Strategically Develop Yield Product Offering • Work closely with the product team to design and implement a product suite of yield products for the Exchange users. The products offered could be across both on platform and also on DeFi. • Where the products rolled out require active management, for example a pooled based basis earn product, actively manage the funding rate strategy with regards to putting on and taking off basis positions. • Be proactive in monitoring the yield landscape to suggest adding/decommissioning 3rd party venues that the Exchange users may be able to access via their BitMEX wallet. Digital Asset Treasury & Market Liquidity • Serve as the SME for actively managing and generating yield from the company’s digital asset Treasury. • Manage the firm’s crypto balance sheet to provide funding and/or yield generation required for client business. • Manage and hedge inventory risk for HFT market making bots across multiple crypto exchanges including e.g. the BMEX Token. • Actively manage Liquidity Pools and update positions based on market conditions and strategy. Risk Management & Execution • Identify, calculate, and proactively hedge unwanted risk exposures (delta risk) across all Earn and Treasury assets. • Handle specialized OTC execution, quoting and executing client trades, and profitably hedging using exchanges and liquidity providers. • Generate automated performance and risk reports using SQL, Python, and reporting tools to track positions and risk exposures. Proactive Sales and Marketing Support • Identify market opportunities and new product ideas for clients, to pass to the Product, Sales and Marketing teams for execution. • Support on-going initiatives (such as Trading Bots) with market insights and technical experience. Qualifications • 6+ years of total experience with a significant focus (3+ years) as a high-performing Individual Contributor in quantitative crypto trading. • Proven expertise in Crypto, quantitative execution, and risk management specific to digital assets. • Demonstrated ability to independently build and deploy robust, live trading systems. • Proficiency in Python and SQL will be beneficial - for strategy development, data analysis, and dashboard creation.
