Senior QA Engineer (Remote)

Senior QA Engineer We are seeking an experiencedSenior QA Engineeron a contract basis with deep technical expertise in automation, strong programming fundamentals, and hands-on experience in modern DevOps environments. The ideal candidate is capable of leading testing strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, and influencing quality across the entire engineering organization. Experience with AI-driven testing or AI-enabled systems is a strong plus. Location:Remote working eastern hoursThis job expects to pay about $60 - $75 per hour plus benefits No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role.No C2C What You ll Do: • Build and maintain UI & API automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium. • Write high-quality test code in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript. • Develop integration, end-to-end, and contract/API testing (REST, GraphQL). • Contribute to performance, reliability, and basic security testing. • Integrate automated tests into bolthires/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab bolthires, Azure DevOps). • Use observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) to debug and diagnose issues.• Partner with Engineering, Product, and SRE to define test strategies and quality standards. • Mentor QA engineers and support process improvements. What Gets YouThe Job: • 5 8+ years experience in QA engineering. • Senior-level automation expertise using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium. Must have a strong ability to handle both UI and API automation. • Strong programming ability in at least one major language (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript) • Must have bolthires/CD and DevOps integration experience including bolthires/CD pipelines, using Docker/containers, and supporting automated, reliable deployments across modern DevOps environments.• Solid understanding of testing strategies, best practices, and quality metrics • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Nice to Have: Experience testing AI systems or using AI-driven automation tools After applying to this role, you may receive an invitation from our AI Recruiter, Avery to schedule a virtual meeting to learn more about your background as an initial screening for this role.
