As a member of our Technical Projects Group, you will be responsible for managing project expectations, driving timely delivery, and leading a team of cross-functional project partners to achieve project goals. You will have the opportunity to work independently as a Project Lead, developing and executing project plans, and collaborating with various teams to influence project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and execute interdisciplinary projects, including technical projects, engineering, documentation, supply chain, and maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and achieve business objectives
Establish project plans, including project objectives, scope, schedule, milestones, assignments, communication procedures, and deliverable timelines
Monitor, track, and coordinate fleet projects to ensure production readiness and quality
Focus on project planning work for effective risk and change management
Interact with various systems to manage daily expectations and project performance
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for project cycle or technical work details
Lead project progress, drive collaboration, and support project team members to succeed in their roles and responsibilities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Planning, Project Management, or equivalent work experience/training
3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or in management roles in aviation, engineering, and planning capacity
Airline experience is required
Preferred qualifications: Project Management certification, previous management experience, and knowledge of AA planning, policies, and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven self-starter with a positive attitude and high learning capacity
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels within the organization
Ability to develop project plans, quality control objectives, and examples of learning opportunities
Problem-solving ability with a high level of motivation, attention to detail, integrity, and reliability
Strong Project Management skills, experience managing scope, technical details, schedules, and budgets in a project environment
Ability to think "outside the box" and leverage data obligations to drive performance improvements
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.
