The OpportunityThis position works out of our Pleasanton, CA office in the Heart Failure division. Leading an active lifestyle is important to the many people we serve. In the Heart Failure business unit, we are focused on developing breakthrough medical technologies to treat and manage people with Heart Failure.Abbott is seeking a passionate, strategic marketer to join a growing team in one of the company’s fastest-growing divisions. Heart Failure is a condition that affects 6 million people in the United States alone, and Abbott’s coordinated effort to bring new medical device solutions to this population is revolutionizing how this debilitating condition is treated in the US and abroad. Abbott is proud to be the market leader across all Heart Failure therapies, with technologies that assist the heart’s ability to pump (Left Ventricular Assist Devices) and implanted remote pressure monitoring technologies that allow doctors to remotely monitor a patient’s heart failure symptoms and tailor medical regimens to manage those symptoms. This role will be focused on the CardioMEMS franchise, which leverages hardware, software, and connected care components and is projected to grow double digits while contributing to the transformation of heart failure management. The individual in this role will be a key contributor using expertise in digital technology, user-centered design and data science to bring optimal heart failure care to patients wherever they are.The Senior Global Product Manager will be the internal and external champion for all physician, nurse, and patient stakeholders as it relates to our remote patient management offerings for heart failure. The selected candidate will be responsible for serving as a key contributor to the development and commercialization efforts for digital HF solutions, including physician- & patient-facing apps as well as the online portal, which enables integration of important information into heart failure monitoring workflows. Additional responsibilities include providing guidance and support on related product development activities (defining requirements), market development activities, and collaboration with regional sales/marketing teams. This position has responsibility for leading early phase product planning activities including business rationale, developing and executing product commercialization plans, and managing implementation of commercial strategies. The incumbent in this position will be regarded as a deep technical expert related to assigned product(s)/product lines with broad knowledge of related fields.What You’ll Do

Act as a Product Owner for remote hemodynamic monitoring providing leadership across functional teams to conceptualize, build, and deliver next generation products
Develop multi-year therapy management innovation strategy aligned with business objectives and partner with product development (engineering) to execute
Maintain a strong pulse on the market using market research, user testing, voice of customer, and competitive intelligence
Demonstrate strong product instincts, problem-solving skills, and organizational capabilities to communicate and influence effectively
Own product and feature prioritization along with user experience
Develop strong value proposition, and drive evidence-backed claims to support solid competitive differentiation at launch
Drive market development activities through establishment of best practices and development of tools to raise market awareness
Collaborate with regional marketing partners to deliver business model for commercial success and maximize value-capture
Define and monitor success metrics to refine product vision based on market performance
Be accountable to business metrics, including commercial and financial product performance
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in business strategy, product management, product marketing, or product commercialization, or an Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Software experience, proven ability to manage complex digital products and set clear requirements to drive a positive user experience
Preferred Qualifications

MBA
Degree in Science or Engineering
Knowledge of medical device industry practices, techniques, and standards (e.g. role of clinical trials, reimbursement landscape)
Medical device hardware and SaMD experience
Voice of customer/market research and design experience
Solid data analytics and financial modeling skills
Experience building relationships with key customers, physicians/KOLs
Global perspective and mindset
Familiarity with Cloud Architecture development, agile methodology, and Electronic Health Record systems.
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model.
