Senior Payments Strategy & Operations Manager

We're looking for a Senior Payments Manager to join Lemonade’s growing Operations team in Amsterdam. This is a highly business-oriented role where you’ll work closely with our Product team and own the relationships with all our payment vendors. You’ll be instrumental in optimising our payment processes, improving acceptance rates, and introducing new payment methods, and well as scaling and growing our payment infrastructure in the EU.In this role you'llLead the strategy and execution for scaling payment operationsDrive initiatives to improve payment acceptance rates while maintaining low feesSuccessfully pitch and implement new payment solutions and strategiesCollaborate with internal cross-company teams to ensure seamless payment integration.Manage relationships with key payment vendors, including Stripe, Adyen, and PlaidAnalyze payment data from dashboards to identify trends and opportunities for improvementDefine data specifications to capture necessary payment-related informationWhat you'll need5-8 years of experience as a payments manager at a fast paced fintech, ecommerce, insurance, or payments companyExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challengesSuperb analytical mindset to drive better payment performanceProven experience working with Stripe, Adyen, Plaid, or other payment platformsEstablished vendor management experience and negotiations skillsDeep understanding of payment industry best practices and regulations.Ability to read and understand API documentationDemonstrated ability to read and interpret data from dashboards to drive decision-makingExperience in defining data specifications for payment-related dataAbility to write SQP queries, a plusEnthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture.
