Role Overview
We’re currently looking for a freelance Senior Motion Graphics Artist to join our digital team as a remote independent contractor. This role will work closely with our creative teams, specifically our Digital/Social sector, collaborating daily on high-profile entertainment campaigns.
Location Requirement: This position is fully remote but must be available to work on PST hours (9:30am–6:30pm).
Responsibilities
• Create animated motion posters from key art for Digital, Social, and OOH.
• As a senior designer, bring elevated and polished animation that goes beyond the basics.
• Collaborate with the motion design team and senior staff oversight.
• Work constructively with producers, account managers, or other team members.
• Understand and use appropriate templates, toolkits, PSDs, fonts, and AE projects created internally or provided by clients.
• Occasionally ideate motion storyboards and concepts.
Requirements
• Experience in motion graphics, VFX, compositing, and animating still assets.
• Advanced proficiency with After Effects and native 3D, cameras, and lights.
• Experience with common plugins (Maxon, Optical Flares, etc.).
• Understanding of digital video formats and export settings.
• Proven cinematic design sensibility and ability to make a visual connection to the project narrative.
• A fast, reliable internet connection for downloading/uploading large files.
• Highly reliable, self-disciplined, and comfortable working independently with tight turnarounds.
• Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus.
Rate
$300–$750 USD per day
