What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead a team of cybersecurity engineers in developing and maintaining security architecture for the employer's products and services
- Provide updates and training on cybersecurity practices to staff and management
- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocations, and project prioritization
- Monitor compliance with legislation and standards, ensuring the security of systems and services
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams to implement cybersecurity strategies and standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- At least 7 years of related experience in cybersecurity or risk management
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience in threat modeling and managing security risks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data for decision-making
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of relevant experience in IT security and risk management
- Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or AWS Solution Architect Pro
- Familiarity with cloud native products and microservice architectures
- Experience in providing training and mentorship in cybersecurity practices
