Senior Linux Engineer
About the Team/Role WEX is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to perform IT functions such as installation, maintenance, support and administration of Linux Servers, Agents and related applications in multi-tiered environments supporting the company infrastructure, business processes and operations. Monitors server health, analyzes performance, implements changes, manages patching and troubleshoots issues to ensure stability in fast-paced, high availability data center environments. How you'll make an impact Plan, design, build, test and support virtualized and physical Linux servers Ensure both external and internal service levels are met Maintain adherence to organizational change management processes Ensure server security and audit compliance Participate in pre-scheduled 24x7x365 system on-call support Provide technical leadership in building, troubleshooting and support of technologies within the assigned workspace Develop and implement processes, procedures and standards that contribute to quality and scale Provide technology life cycle management in accordance with company policies. Experience you'll bring • Strong related experience • Requires strong technical expertise in multiple areas • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways • Ability to function in a complex, fast-paced environment requiring strong priority management skills • Strong interpersonal and communications skills • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills • Solutions setup including hardware and software with a focus on Linux environments • Configuration, deployment, support, troubleshooting of infrastructure solutions and services including, but not limited to: Linux Server administration including the use of ansible Nutanix HCI administration, troubleshooting, and upgrades Monitoring solutions for IT operations and equipment Experience working with data center co-location environments.
