Senior IT Cybersecurity Engineer | Remote

Our client, a highly respected A-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a skilled Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance and maintain the security of their IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enterprise environments, a proactive mindset toward threat prevention, and the ability to collaborate across teams to strengthen organizational security. This is a hybrid position out of any of our client's regional offices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.
• Monitor infrastructure for vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and potential threats.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and guide remediation efforts.
• Support secure configuration and deployment of systems in Windows-based environments.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into infrastructure and operations.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on security policies, procedures, and incidents.
• Stay current on trends in cybersecurity, tools, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Proven experience (5–10+ years) working in cybersecurity roles within complex, enterprise-level Microsoft environments.
• History of success in technical security roles such as Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, or equivalent positions.
• Well-versed in managing and supporting security tools including firewalls, antivirus solutions, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning platforms.
• Strong analytical thinker with the ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and lead multiple security-focused projects simultaneously.
• Educational background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.

Salary/Benefits:
• $180,000 to $210,000+ annual base salary
• 10–20% annual performance bonus
