Develop and implement high-performance computing solutions to support biotechnology research and development projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze computational needs and provide technical recommendations and solutions. Design, configure, and maintain HPC systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HPC systems and applications. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in HPC technology and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades. Create and maintain documentation for HPC systems, workflows, and processes. Train and mentor junior HPC engineers on best practices and procedures. Work closely with biotechnology researchers to understand their computational needs and optimize HPC systems to support their work. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to implement new HPC technologies and tools. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards for HPC systems. Provide technical support to end users and troubleshoot issues related to HPC applications. Participate in the evaluation and selection of new HPC hardware and software. Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize HPC systems. Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders and management.
