Position Overview We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer / Mobile Lead who can architect, build, and elevate the user-facing side of the platform. This person will drive the creation of the company’s first mobile app, lead a full modernization of the web application, and set the long-term technical direction for all frontend development. This role is ideal for someone who loves React, cares deeply about UX, and enjoys mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on. Key Responsibilities • Architect and build a new cross-platform mobile app (iOS & Android) using React + Capacitor • Lead the rewrite and modernization of the web application with a component-driven React approach • Set coding standards, review code, and mentor frontend and full-stack engineers • Partner closely with design to deliver polished, accessible, responsive user experiences • Push UX excellence through performance tuning, animations, and clean interface design • Collaborate with backend engineering by consuming APIs, not building them Qualifications • 5+ years of deep experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript • Proven history of shipping at least one iOS app as the primary architect (App Store link required) • Strong experience building cross-platform mobile apps (Capacitor preferred) • Skilled at turning designs into elegant, consumer-quality interfaces • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and raise the bar for frontend engineering • Independent, highly self-directed, and able to take high-level requirements and run • Must be US-based; no sponsorship available Bonus Points For • Experience with PWAs, push notifications, or real-time interfaces • Familiarity with Algolia, Storybook, or modern CSS/UI component patterns • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest + React Testing Library Why Join Us? • First dedicated frontend/mobile leader — shape the entire client-side engineering vision • Zero backend context switching — pure frontend focus • High-impact role building consumer-grade experiences used daily by media professionals • Competitive compensation package ($190K–$220K), fully paid employee health insurance, 401(k), and strong PTO • Remote-first culture with a supportive, talented engineering and design team Apply tot his job
