Overview:
Step into a high-impact role where you are the face of Hussmann quality in the field. As a Senior Field Quality Specialist, you will lead complex, customer-facing initiatives that directly shape product performance and customer satisfaction. Partnering across engineering, manufacturing, and external contractors, you will drive quality execution from product release through delivery—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also play a critical role in accelerating innovation by influencing NTD, NPD, and COD processes that improve speed, efficiency, and overall execution.

Responsibilities:
Perform field installation and commissioning and lead in root causing field reported Hussmann product issues, ensuring customer support objectives are met within budget, on time, and with required quality and functionality. Key Job functions include:Effectively manage field projects within budgetary guidelinesEffectively manage individual utilization – including maintaining itinerary plans and proactively communicating to manager and leads when schedule permits special project workCollaborate with cross functional teams to meet project objectives, drive root cause, and mitigate customer riskProvide customer support related to the delivery and startup of sustaining and new productsParticipate in meeting cadences as required with cross functional teams to ensure robust support plans for field escapes, issues, large customer start up projects, and new products and controls start upsChampion projects to completionSupport process improvement activitiesOversee complex order and new product buildsDrive cross-functional accountability related to Field Quality to mitigate customer riskDocument onsite findings utilizing the field report creation processUtilize the Field Escalation process when applicablePerform standard FQS dutiesConducting plant and customer site audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of product and processes.Interact directly with customers, contractors, technicians, and engineering providing advanced level technical expertise in order to instill confidence in Hussmann equipment, installation, technical support, and service and will also have the experience to provide startup support on refrigeration systems and merchandisers as needed. This position is customer facing; therefore, professionalism is of the utmost importance as the FQS is viewed as Hussmann’s “technical expert”.Capable of influencing warranty expenditures by identifying and resolving issues prior to equipment start-upMentor and develop emerging FQS team members in the startup and functionality of Hussmann productsFacilitate/Coordinate Training as requiredProvide Peer to Peer TrainingCreate Training Material as requiredChampion employee engagement initiatives

Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma, Technical Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferredA minimum of 7Refrigeration/HVAC or related industry experienceMust have advanced industry product knowledge; hands on understanding of complex refrigeration systems; and advanced knowledge of electrical controls and equipmentField project management experience Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExperience facilitating meetings with cross functional teams preferredExperience managing complex customer start upsAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationManufacturing new product launch/build experience a plusMobility within work facilities including manufacturing and installation sitesKnowledgeable and/or trainable in Hussmann systems (Aftermarket, Tavant, CRM Dynamics, QMS, and Team Center)Up to 70% independent travel to manufacturing and customer sites Key Competencies and Success Factors:Build efficient, realistic plans and detailed actions to achieve objectives; Sets priorities effectively and organizes information; holds self and others accountable to project milestones and resultsTakes accountability for getting work done; is resourceful in identifying creative solutions to difficult problemsDemonstrates effective consulting, negotiating, and persuasive skills to diverse audiences, promoting constructive confrontation and issue resolution; Presents information in a clear and accurate mannerStrong business acumen: Ability to drive strategy, influence practices, processes and policies that result in competitive advantage; Continuously works to improve value through process improvementUnderstands customer and market demands; proactively ensure customer requirements translate into program requirements, responds promptly to customer needs and advocates resolution of issues important to stakeholdersStrong ability to collaborate with cross functional teams with ability to influence and create actionThe salary or hourly range of $84,628-$157,165 is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
