Senior Estimator - Glazing
We’re hiring a Senior Estimator to lead the glazing estimating side of our business. This is a remote role for someone who knows commercial glazing, can put together accurate numbers, and can help us win the right work. You’ll own bids from takeoff through handoff, and we’ll count on you to be reliable, organized, and sharp with details.
Responsibilities
· Perform takeoffs for commercial glazing scopes including storefront, curtain wall, entrances, and related systems
· Build complete and accurate estimates using plans, specs, and bid documents
· Send RFQs, review vendor pricing, and level quotes
· Work through scope gaps, exclusions, substitutions, and value engineering opportunities
· Coordinate with architects, general contractors, suppliers, and internal team members during the bid process
· Prepare clear proposals and bid summaries
· Participate in pre-bid and post-bid discussions as needed
· Manage multiple bids and deadlines without things falling through the cracks
· Turn over awarded work to project management with complete and organized job information
· Help protect margin by catching mistakes, missing scope, and pricing risk before bids go out
Requirements
· 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial glazing
· Strong working knowledge of storefront, curtain wall, aluminum entrances, and related glazing systems
· Ability to read plans, specs, and contract documents with a high level of accuracy
· Experience with takeoff and estimating tools such as Bluebeam, OST, PlanSwift, PartnerPak, Glazier Studio, or similar
· Strong Excel skills
· Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, GCs, architects, and internal team members
· High level of accountability and follow-through
· Able to work independently in a remote role without needing constant oversight
· Team-first attitude and willingness to help solve problems, not just point them out
Preferred Qualifications
· Construction Management or related background
· Experience with both estimating and project handoff coordination
· Background working on negotiated work as well as hard bid projects
· Experience pricing projects from small commercial jobs up to multi-million-dollar contracts
Pay: $77,404.71 - $93,218.57 per year
