Why You'll Love This Role As a Senior Engineer at blithequark, you'll be the backbone of our Engineering Group, providing critical support for the maintenance and operation of our aircraft and related equipment. Key Responsibilities Conduct training for specialists in areas of expertise, ensuring that our team stays up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices. Serve as a guide and mentor to other engineers, sharing knowledge and experience to drive team success. Lead projects and facilitate issue resolution, working closely with stakeholders to deliver results that meet our high standards. Coordinate with manufacturers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and company manuals. Develop customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance activities. Stay informed about daily carrier operations, reviewing needs according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates. Investigate aircraft/part issues, determining appropriate corrective actions to minimize delays and optimize maintenance activities. Provide engineering support to resolve discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or parts, restoring them to a serviceable status. Respond to requests from Maintenance and other carrier divisions, providing technical support to facilitate operations and resolve issues. Create work plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or part engineering projects, pursuing definite attitudes according to assessed needs. Coordinate with other aircraft divisions to ensure effective and efficient execution of engineering tasks. Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical tasks, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities. Stay up-to-date with current and forthcoming regulations, ensuring that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. Utilize available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience, continually improving communications skills, time management, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Actively engage with frontline colleagues and management, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or related Engineering license. At least 1 year of engineering experience in a connected field (or 2 years of experience without a degree). A&P license, demonstrating your expertise in aircraft maintenance and repair. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant applications. The ability to analyze technical data and make informed decisions, driving results that meet our high standards. A demonstrated ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities, taking on challenges with flexibility and poise. Effective communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations that drive acceptance of solutions. The capacity to connect with internal and external customers effectively, building strong relationships that drive success.
