As part of our strategic growth, ABC is establishing a dedicated Energy Solutions Practice to provide commercial clients with procurement intelligence, competitive market access, and long-term energy cost-optimization strategies. Through a formal relationship with a national energy brokerage platform, we combine market analytics with executive-level advisory expertise to help clients navigate deregulated energy environments with clarity and confidence. Position Overview The Senior Energy Strategy & Solutions Consultant is a key advisory role responsible for guiding commercial clients through energy procurement planning, pricing analysis, and contract strategy. This consultant will lead discovery and assessment engagements, develop customized procurement recommendations, support proposal development, and ensure exceptional client engagement throughout the lifecycle of the relationship. This role is designed for professionals with consulting experience, strong analytical capability, and demonstrated success in business development or solution advisory. The position is remote, operates as an Independent Contractor, and follows a performance-based compensation model aligned with senior-level contribution and impact. Core Objectives Strategic Advisory & Client Engagement • Lead client discovery sessions to understand energy usage patterns, operational goals, and risk profiles. • Develop tailored procurement and pricing strategies informed by market conditions and client objectives. • Advise decision-makers on rate structures, multi-year pricing options, supplier contracts, and cost-reduction pathways. Market & Data Analysis • Analyze consumption data and evaluate competitive pricing scenarios. • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive-level decision-making. Presales Support & Business Development • Identify, qualify, and develop commercial opportunities across multiple industries. • Prepare proposals, pricing structures, and strategic briefings that guide client decisions. • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support solution design and presales strategy. Project Management & Delivery • Manage the end-to-end proposal-to-contract lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. • Oversee onboarding activities and maintain professional communication with clients throughout the process. Long-Term Relationship Management • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing ongoing strategic guidance and support. • Cultivate long-term relationships that drive renewals, referrals, and continued portfolio expansion. Qualifications Experience • 5–10 years of professional experience in consulting, energy markets, utilities, procurement, B2B solution sales, or related advisory disciplines. • Equivalent experience demonstrating strong analytical and consultative capability will be considered. Education • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field. • Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) and certifications (CEM, PMP, CBAP) are advantageous but not required. Candidates Without a Degree Applicants without formal degrees will be considered if they demonstrate: • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving capability • Proven advisory or consultative skill • A track record of success in B2B development or complex solution delivery • Professional maturity and ability to influence decision-makers Core Competencies • Exceptional communication and presentation skills • Strong quantitative and analytical reasoning ability • Ability to build trusted relationships with executives and stakeholders • High professional discipline and organizational capability • Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple workstreams Compensation Structure This position operates under a performance-based compensation model appropriate for an Independent Contractor advisory role. Compensation is derived from production and portfolio growth. Consultants manage their own schedules, outreach activities, and workflow while receiving advisory tools, training resources, and strategic support from ABC.
