Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytically gifted professional to join arenaflex as a Senior Analyst in Distribution Planning and Analysis. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive distribution planning and analytical support for content licensing deals affecting our global records division and our direct-to-consumer (DTC) services operating worldwide.

This position offers exceptional exposure to the full spectrum of content distribution activities, from initial deal negotiation through post-contract execution. You will collaborate with senior leadership, business operations, legal teams, finance, and accounting to ensure optimal content positioning across all platforms. Key Responsibilities

Content Licensing Analysis and Support


Support the Content Outreach team, Business Operations, Legal, Finance, and Accounting departments in all licensing activities for SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) clients, encompassing both pre-deal and post-deal phases
Ensure precise and timely availability of all content assets—including long-form feature films, arenaflex originals, episodic content, promotional materials, bonus features, and interstitials—while navigating complex rights holdbacks and limitations arising from existing licenses, underlying rights, musicClearances, MVPD restrictions, and first-party station programming requirements
Conduct rigorous financial analysis and content valuation for all content licensing agreements, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners across every business segment
Prepare comprehensive briefing materials and negotiation outlines to support senior executive decision-making processes
Administer and manage all licensing agreements within our rights management system (Rightsline), including post-execution workflows such as drafting and distributing notices (start dates, new season additions), calculating许可 fees, processing invoice reconciliations, coordinating asset deliveries, and tracking agreement decisions, MFNs (Most Favored Nations clauses), and termination dates


Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Services Management


Maintain accurate and timely content availability across all DTC service platforms, including feature films, DTC originals, indirect content, promotional materials, bonus features, and interstitials, while respecting complex holdbacks stemming from existing licensing agreements, underlying rights, musicClearances, and MVPD/BDU limitations
Contribute to the development of global and regional content windows and guidelines, facilitating coordination between DTC and Content Outreach teams, and entering and maintaining these guidelines by region in the Distribution Rights Management system
Review and update rights entries quarterly with regional DTC and Content Outreach teams to support planning of DTC quarter-end accounting announcements
Support ongoing content valuation for DTC services by providing global market data and competitive analysis
Provide critical rights management support for DTC regional launches, new features, and emerging business models


Strategic Analysis and Executive Support


Create analytical materials and presentations in response to ad-hoc senior leadership and client requests, which may include new distribution strategies, deal reporting for board reviews and finance committees, market trends, and industry best practices
Collaborate with Finance and Planning teams on content deal valuations, annual operating plans, and long-range strategic plan presentations
Support Legal department with organization and investment reviews as needed
Liaise with asset delivery teams and business operations on servicing issues and content distribution challenges


Required Qualifications

Education


Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field


Experience and Skills


Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in the media and entertainment industry
Deep expertise in financial modeling and complex financial analysis
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze large datasets and create sophisticated financial models
Strong capability in interpreting and analyzing contracts, with experience in fundamental legal drafting (e.g., contract notes, term sheets)
Solid working knowledge of PowerPoint with demonstrated ability to create compelling executive presentations
Proven track record of effectively managing and building strong relationships with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders
Some experience in international media distribution operations


Preferred Qualifications


Experience working with rights management systems such as Rightsline
Familiarity with SVOD and DTC business models
Understanding of content licensing windows and territorial restrictions
Previous experience in entertainment financial planning or strategic analysis
Knowledge of international media markets and distribution frameworks
