As a Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics, you will lead the charge in identifying and mitigating emerging threats, driving strategic initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance YouTube's Trust and Safety mission. Key Responsibilities Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in detecting and removing malicious actors attempting account takeovers, spam, and other forms of abuse, as well as the Business Analytics team responsible for generating insights and measuring the effectiveness of Trust and Safety initiatives. Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with emerging industry trends, such as generative AI, and develop strategies to stay ahead of adversaries. Collaborate with the Policy Development team to craft policies that effectively address harmful behavior on the platform, leveraging account, social, and content signals. Drive operational excellence in a global team working 24/7, ensuring high-quality service levels and efficient execution. Develop and manage high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Manage escalations and provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, while building relationships with key stakeholders to drive the adoption of new products and policies. Essential Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering) or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in risk management, fraud fighting, and analytics. 2+ years of experience working with engineering teams to develop data infrastructure and ML models. 2+ years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard hours, including rotations and on-call shifts. Preferred Qualifications A postgraduate degree in a related field (e.g., Analytics, Engineering, or Data Science). 2+ years of experience in analyzing large datasets and detecting anomalies. Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations and related fields. Proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab, with a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization. Exceptional influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners. Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights.
