This team plays a central role in data-driven decision-making and optimize our strategic products across the entire product lifecycle. This role would be a key strategic partner to Product leaders and cross-functional partners in Engineering and Growth to identify opportunities to improve product adoption and performance at scale.What You’ll DoBuild, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone can thriveGuide and mentor the team in applying a variety of science-driven approaches—including statistical modeling, experimentation, root cause analysis—to drive production adoption, optimize product features, and quantify strategic opportunitiesPartner with Product leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize all stages of the product lifecycle, including product development, adoption, and related GTM initiatives Perform as a thought leader for Data Science and Product teams to scope, craft, and implement science-driven strategies that drive measurable Product impactClearly and persuasively communicate data insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring your findings influence stakeholders at all levelsQualification8+ years industry experience and an advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science, Economics) 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring data science teams, with a demonstrable track record of fostering growth and development of the team5+ years of experience communicating the results of analyses to leadership teams and cross-functional teams to influence the strategyPassion for management and creating opportunities for career growth for team membersDemonstrated ability to create, drive, and execute impactful data roadmaps for the businessExpert in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R); experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling a plusExperience in technology, financial services and/or a high growth environment is advantageousEqual opportunityAirwallex is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
