Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Technology team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work on intricate data-related projects, lead and provide expertise to functional task groups, and participate in cross-functional tasks. You will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to process improvements, establishing and advocating for regulations, and working with outside vendors to offer effective solutions and insights.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble large, complicated units of information that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
Identify, design, and implement internal process enhancements, including re-designing infrastructure for more scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
Build required infrastructure for the finest extraction, transformation, and loading of data from numerous data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, presenting actionable insights into key business performance metrics, such as operational efficiency and customer acquisition
Work with stakeholders, including data, design, product, and executive teams, to assist them with data-associated technical issues
Generate or adapt devices and technology to serve consumer needs
May perform other activity obligations as directed by Employee's Leaders
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or associated field; or equivalent formal training
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced stage experience, professional and specialized expertise in:
Cloud infrastructure, DataLake
ETL experience ensuring source to target data integrity
Various filetypes (Delimited Text, Fixed Width, XML, JSON, Parque)
ServiceBus, setting up ingress and egress within a subscription, or applicable AWS Cloud services administrative experience
Unit Testing, Code Quality tools, CI/CD Technologies, Security and Container Technologies
Agile development experience and Agile ceremonies and practices
Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering technology and era, including applying concepts, techniques, procedures, and tools to the design and manufacturing of various items and services
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and ideas concerned with the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Ability to apply good judgment and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Ability to understand the implications of new data for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
Skilled in identifying complex issues and reviewing associated data to develop and compare alternatives and implement solutions
