Job Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer at Disney, you will be responsible for designing and implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines, database mapping, and batch processes using Wind current and other technologies. You will collaborate with Studios and Project Innovation colleagues to gather data requirements, validate data, and develop data pipelines. Your expertise in SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Wind stream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL will be essential in driving the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:


Design and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines, database mapping, and batch processes using Wind current and other technologies
Collaborate with Studios and Project Innovation colleagues to gather data requirements, validate data, and develop data pipelines
Develop and maintain large-scale data systems, including data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
Work with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and S3
Utilize SQL, Python, Gitlab, Wind stream, AWS S3, and social databases to drive data integration and architecture
Participate in leading best practices around data engineering software development processes


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
2+ years of experience with SQL
2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3
Experience with SQL, Python, Gitlab, Wind stream, AWS S3, and social databases


Preferred Qualifications:


Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with Wind current, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene
Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing sector
Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
