With over 5 million surveys received from clients each year across the Consumer, Business, and Service Provider areas, we are seeking a talented Senior Data Architect to join our Customer Listening Team and help drive the transformation and innovation of our Voice of the Customer strategy. About the Role The Senior Data Architect will play a critical role in assisting the transformation and innovation of our Voice of the Customer strategy. This involves helping to develop and maintain a new Voice of the Customer technique sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with the survey and dashboard platform hosted through Qualtrics. The ideal candidate will work closely with product and process owners, subject matter specialists from Qualtrics, and the Agile team in Technology to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with utility teams to define, design, and capture business needs Develop and leverage Voice of the Customer methods to define and transform data within the Cornerstone large data platform Design and build robust data model architecture to support fulfilling statistics processing and standardized metric definitions Enable big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions leveraging transformational technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python) to deliver innovative solutions ensuring data quality and accuracy through intensive testing Provide guidance to enhance competencies to drive efficiency in computing programs using the massive data ecosystem Power consumer tale evaluation & elaboration, design and development of software programs, exploring & building automation tools Proactively select and automate manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency Work closely with partners from GSN and AET to prioritize, define, enhance, and test data for various use cases as part of the VOC end-to-end strategy Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, Shell scripting languages, development launch management, and troubleshooting understanding for data-driven projects for at least 3 years Active collaboration with dating managers/product owners for expertise in functional requirements and converting them into technical deliverables Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery, where small increments of a product are introduced at everyday intervals to business groups Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Qualtrics and Cornerstone platforms Knowledge of data architecture and data modeling principles Strong understanding of big data technologies and analytics What We Offer At American Express, we prioritize the well-being and success of our colleagues.
