We’re a boutique shop with 15+ years of experience crafting identities, brand strategies, packaging, event collateral, physical environments, and digital solutions. Our work is tailored for everyone from PE-backed powerhouses to mom-and-pop shops and startups ready to disrupt the status quo. The Gig: We’re looking for a seasoned, Mid-to-Senior level Designer to join our rotation as a core creative collaborator. This remote contract role requires a design chameleon who can pivot from scalable brand architectures to high-fidelity UX/UI without breaking their flow. While identity and digital work are our bread and butter, you’re a "brand steward" who thrives in the trenches—as comfortable perfecting a high-stakes pitch deck as you are vectorizing a complex icon set. At Picnic, we treat every grid, kerning pair, and slide like a masterpiece, because every touchpoint is an opportunity to elevate the brand. Your Are: • Agency veteran who’s done with giant productions and prefers small, agile teams. • Independent freelancer looking for a high-quality studio to call your home base. • Design tinkerer who jumps from logo grids to responsive web layouts with ease. • Self-starter who can take a loose brief and run with it without any hand-holding. Your Qualifications: • 5–10+ years of experience with a portfolio featuring elite branding and digital work. • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (or your preferred UI/UX weapons). • Strong UX/UI skills with a working knowledge of HTML/CSS to keep things feasible. • AI-curious designer who integrates new tools to sharpen and speed up the workflow. • Presentation powerhouse who makes decks look art-gallery ready in PPT or Slides. • Grid-obsessed designer with Swiss-level standards for typography and kerning. • Meticulous about the details, from file naming conventions to pixel-perfection. • Clear communicator who can articulate the "why" behind a design to clients. • Self-reliant pro who thrives in a remote, independent studio environment. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate in Graphic Design or a related field.
