Senior Associate or Senior Counsel (New Mexico)

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel with strong litigation experience to join our team working remotely from New Mexico. The practice encompasses general liability, product liability, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases, with this role collaborating closely with our Aviation practice group. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and responding to discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and preparing pre-trial documents. The associate must be proactive, motivated and organized, and must possesses excellent research and writing skills. The associate will be expected to interact with opposing counsel and clients in a positive and professional manner.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of 10-20 mattersActively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategiesDraft and respond to discoveryReview and analyze documents for productionConduct legal research using WestlawTake and defend depositionsDraft and submit pleadings and motionAttend hearings and argue motionsDraft pre-trial and trial documentsPrepare cases for mediation/trial, and participate in mediation/trialActively and effectively report to our clientsManage and supervise associates and paralegalsEssential Skills & ExperienceAdmission to the bar in New Mexico required; Additional Admission to Arizona preferred or willingness to waive into AZ.Extensive experience in all aspects of litigationExceptional legal writing and communication skillsEffective oral advocateStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projectsAbility to identify and resolve problems quicklyWhy Join Us?At Clyde & Co, we believe in supporting your professional growth while ensuring you have the flexibility and benefits you need to thrive. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
