As a key member of the IT Information Design and Examination groups, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data framework conditions that enable report automation and commercialization of data and knowledge. About the Role As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of Walgreens Health data and insights drives and projects. You will work closely with a team of data analysts, BI engineers, system administrators, and data users to deliver execution insights across Walgreens Health. Your expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing will be instrumental in meeting the reporting and analytics expectations of Walgreens Health. Key Responsibilities Direct the delivery of Walgreens Health data and insights drives and projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes. Design, develop, and deploy layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics projects. Create data formatting and pre-processing rules for populating logical and physical data models attached to report-specific working tables. Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal Walgreens production framework sources and third-party files. Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production frameworks, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets. Develop internal tools for automating data processing, QA, data validation, and other related activities. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must possess: Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts. Experience designing and deploying logically separated data environments using ETL/ELT services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake. Experience providing thought leadership and presenting tool-agnostic semantic data layer upgrades connected with BI technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker. Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners. At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace. At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect authority, or cross-functional team management experience. Ability to travel up to at least 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications To stand out as an ideal candidate, you should have: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification. Experience with pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts.
