In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range (inclusive of additional administrative stipend) for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. Senior Systems Librarian / Head of Information Infrastructure & Integration

Description: We are seeking an experienced Systems Librarian to join our team as Head of Information Infrastructure & Integration. This is a unique opportunity to advance library systems within a leading research institution, shaping a future where NYU Libraries are recognized as innovators in information access and research support.

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Knowledge Access and Resource Management Services, the Head of Information Infrastructure and Integrations will lead a team of seven technologists responsible for optimizing library systems performance and ensuring interoperability across diverse platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of library systems, cloud computing, data analytics, and emerging technologies, coupled with strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at navigating the evolving landscape of library technology while fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and enhances library services.

This is a full-time Tenure Track Faculty position.

Key Responsibilities:

Library Systems Administration: Oversee the configuration, administration, and management of library systems and related infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. This includes the library services platform (Alma/Primo Ve), production environments and data warehouse.

Data Analysis and Systems Interoperability: Oversee data exchange and integration from multiple systems within the library and beyond, to maintain systems-level automations and documentation supporting library services.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to libraries and explore innovative solutions to enhance user experience and support research initiatives.

Collaboration: Build strong relationships with stakeholders within the Division of Libraries and across the university community, understanding their data needs and working collaboratively to develop effective solutions.
