Senior AI Prompt Engineer

Role Overview LiftPilot.ai is building an enterprise architecture that’s redefining the B2B website buying experience. We are looking for a Senior AI Prompt Engineer who can design and build the core prompt architecture behind our AI systems and take responsibility for all product LLM output. Responsibilities • Design and optimize prompts for LLMs across LiftPilot’s core products • Build and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines that power knowledge grounding for dynamic content • Architect and implement evaluation and scoring frameworks to measure prompt performance, relevance, and business impact (engagement rates, conversions) • Optimize cost and efficiency in production: smart caching, token budgeting, prompt batching, and tuning to hit performance and latency targets • Work directly in code (not just GUIs or hosted platforms) to integrate LangSmith, vector stores, LLM APIs, and other NLP infrastructure into LiftPilot’s backend • Tie AI outputs to performance data so that AI relevance directly improves key customer metrics • Collaborate with product, growth, and engineering on data schemas, enrichments, and delivery APIs Requirements • Solid experience with RAG workflows and prompt engineering in real products, especially at scale • Familiarity with vector databases or embedding stores (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, etc.) • Hands-on experience with LangSmith or similar evaluation / observability tooling • Strong coding skills in JavaScript • Understanding of web analytics, and experience using analytics data to inform AI behavior and optimization • Demonstrated experience optimizing token usage, caching strategies, prompt templates, and cost at scale for LLM-driven systems • Must speak fluent English to evaluate model output Nice to Have • Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise deployment contexts, ideally covering marketing, sales, ABM, or GTM systems • Experience building or evaluating A/B tests tied to AI output performance • Prior work in conversion rate optimization, personalization engines, or adaptive experience tooling • Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and how AI services integrate with web platforms What We Value in You • You operate at the intersection of engineering and AI experimentation • You want to be part of an all-star team and create an AI product that’s far bigger than anything you could build on your own • The industry is rapidly changing week to week.
