This is a hybrid role and Senior Advisors are required to work in-person at one of our office locations 1-2 days per week.Role OverviewJarrard is seeking a Senior Advisor to help lead key client projects with the nation’s most prominent healthcare organizations. The work requires a strong communications foundation, excellent writing skills, and demonstrated project management experience. Senior Advisors serve on multiple client teams and are essential to meeting our clients’ needs in high-stakes moments of change, challenge and opportunity.ResponsibilitiesDevelop initial drafts and drive the editing process of client materialsEdit materials of other team members, as appropriateConduct media pitching, outreach, and monitoringDraft weekly/monthly results reportsResearch in support of client projects and/or their businessGain an increasingly sophisticated understanding of industry and competitor issues and trends relevant to client markets and the healthcare industryOffer proactive, value-added suggestions to enhance client work (i.e., asking the right questions, managing up to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner, etc.)Timely reporting to manager, colleagues, and team leadsImplement other tasks as assigned by manager or team leadWeekly self-planning and time managementQualifications and Desired SkillsHave earned a bachelor’s degree; communications, public relations, journalism, or political science focus is beneficialPassion for working in the healthcare industry3-5 years’ experience in a preferred combination of a communications role, professional services firm (healthcare focus is preferred) and/or journalismExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDeliver work on time to achieve client commitmentsDemonstrate strategic thinking that leads to quality deliverables and program implementationEffectively plan and manage their own time as well as for their teamsBe a team player, with natural collegiality and desire for collaborationAdept at managing multiple priorities and switching gears throughout the dayEmbraces the Jarrard Vision, Mission, and ValuesWhat You Can Expect from Us:High stakes work that makes healthcare betterAn inclusive and collegial workplace with understanding, innovative co-workers who care as much as you do about getting the work rightEncouragement to ask probing questions and openness to new ideasCreative problem solving alongside clients who see you as a partner, not a vendorInvestment in your growth and development via our competency-based talent development platformCompetitive pay and benefitsSalary range: $65,000-70,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
