The immediate priority is to clean up and optimize our NetSuite Chart of Accounts (COA), laying the groundwork for scalability, audit readiness, and cross-functional alignment. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will:Lead the transformation of our accounting infrastructure, starting with NetSuite COA cleanup.Impact financial transparency, operational efficiency, and decision-making.Collaborate across departments and with auditors/regulators.Support SOX/internal controls and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and statutory principles.Own and optimize the NetSuite Chart of Accounts.Provide guidance on complex transactions like reinsurance, investments, and revenue recognition.Coordinate with auditors and regulatory agencies.Implement and document internal controls over financial reporting.Partner with actuarial, legal, finance, and compliance teams to align policies.Identify opportunities for automation and scalability improvements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master’s preferred).5+ years in public or corporate accounting, ideally within warranty, insurance, or financial services.Strong experience with NetSuite, including COA design/cleanup and vendor integrations.In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Advanced Excel proficiency.Referrals can increase your chances of interviewing at CFS by 2x.
