The Walt Disney Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Associate to join its Credit-to-Cash Business Team, responsible for providing accounting and risk management services for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. About the Role As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of billing and collection processes for Disney's gatherings, shows, and events held at Walt Disney World Hotel and Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Catering and Show Sales and Services, Corporate Credit, and Collections teams to guarantee that contractual arrangements are executed correctly and to the benefit of The Walt Disney Company. Key Responsibilities Perform daily reviews of rooms and contracted services to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements Investigate and resolve billing errors, directing their correction and ensuring that all billing requirements are met Deliver store and pre-event invoices and collect subsequent pre-event payments, calculating commissions and integral rooms per contractual terms Collaborate with clients, services managers, functional billers, and leadership to design, review event results, and resolve challenges Support the direct supervisor in the investigation of issues related to various tools and processes, ensuring internal controls, departmental billing principles, and management-level policies are met Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, occasionally conducting bill reviews with visitors, investigating disputes, and facilitating changes Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within an organization Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders A solid understanding of financial risks and the ability to develop adequate controls Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks A strong sense of accountability while working with deadlines and the ability to be proactive and initiate problem-solving approaches An understanding of and ability to apply principles and procedures of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") and Financial Reporting A minimum of one year of relevant experience in accounting or a related field Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus: Basic knowledge of event and housing technology A moderate level of proficiency using MS Excel Experience working in the hospitality or finance industry Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Senior Accounting Associate with Disney, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
