Our accounting team plays a critical role in supporting the company's financial operations, and we are seeking a talented Senior Accounting Associate to join our team. The Credit-to-Money Business Tasks Group provides accounting and risk relief services for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. The Gatherings, Shows, and Event Billing team, which this role will be a part of, is responsible for reviewing, reporting, and invoicing for housing and catered events held at Walt Disney World Hotels and Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily reviews of rooms and arranged functions to ensure accurate billing and invoicing • Guarantee that all charging requirements illustrated in contractual agreements are met • Investigate billing errors and direct their correction • Communicate with clients, service managers, functional billers, and leadership to design, review event results, and resolve difficulties • Assist with collection efforts by explaining charges and helping to resolve disputes • Calculate commissions and complimentary rooms per contractual terms • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners • Occasionally conduct bill reviews with guests, investigate questions, and work with changes • Ensure that all internal controls, division billing standards, and service level agreements are met Essential Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree and Relevant Experience A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. At least one year of experience in accounting or a related field is preferred. Quantitative and Analytical Skills Strong quantitative and analytical skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to develop and implement controls to mitigate financial risks. Communication and Interpersonal Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. Organizational and Time Management Skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for this role, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is required. Experience with event and housing technology is a plus.
