Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis

Steadily is one of the fastest-growing insurtech companies in the U.S., and we’re hiring a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting & Analysis to join our high-performing Finance team. If you're excited about rolling up your sleeves in a dynamic, high-growth environment and want your work to directly influence company strategy, this role is for you.Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you’ll be a key player in scaling our operations, guiding leadership with data-backed insights, and ensuring financial excellence as we expand into new markets and launch new products.What You’ll Do:Be a Strategic Advisor: Partner with leadership to deliver financial insights that drive critical decisions across the business.Own the Close: Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.Drive Operational Excellence: Improve and manage accounting processes related to premium accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Fuel Our Growth: Build scalable systems and processes to support our expansion into new states and product lines.Champion Accuracy & Compliance: Support external audits and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting across the board.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)4+ years in public accounting or at a scaling startupExpertise in GAAP and strong command of the full close processAdvanced Excel skills and strong data acumenStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBonus: Familiarity with P&C insurance or financial servicesCompensation and BenefitsCompensation $110k - $125k salary + equity in the company3 weeks PTO plus six federal holidaysHealth insurance including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, HSA, FSA 401KFree snacks & regular team lunchesLocationAustin, TXSteadily is building a workplace environment of team members who are passionate and excited to be together in person.
