Senior Accountant - CAN Softtech Inc

CAN Softtech Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support the Financial Management Support Services contract for the Military Sealift Command s (MSC) Comptroller Directorate (N8). This role will provide expert financial analysis, accounting, and reporting to support MSC s mission of delivering strategic sealift and logistics for national defense objectives. The Senior Accountant will apply Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards, Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) GAAP, and Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR), ensuring compliance while contributing to the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system and OMB A-123 program initiatives, leveraging strong communication and Microsoft Office skills.Senior AccountantCandidate must possess a current professional license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).Must have at least seven (7) years of accounting experience.Must understand and be able to practicably apply the following:Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board s (FASAB): Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts (SFFAC), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS).Financial Accounting Standards Board s (FASB) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR).Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.Must be proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Location: RemoteAbout Us: CAN Softtech Inc., a Women Minority Owned, Small Disadvantaged Certified Small Business with 14+ years of combined experience in federal, commercial, and Health IT solutions.
