About the position

Allied Universal?, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer for a hospital setting. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.50 and is designed for individuals who are passionate about ensuring safety and security in a healthcare environment. As a Hospital Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the premises, staff, and visitors of a high-profile healthcare facility. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the environment for any signs of crime or disorder, responding to emergencies, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals on site. In this role, you will be expected to patrol the premises on foot, by bicycle, or in a vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals. You will also be responsible for inspecting security devices and fire control equipment, screening individuals for entry, and responding to various incidents such as medical emergencies, fire threats, and hazardous material situations. The position requires a calm and professional demeanor, especially when de-escalating potentially volatile situations. You will also assist with patient escorting and provide safety escorts as needed. Responsibilities
? Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.

? Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals.

? Orally and physically de-escalate individuals, as needed.
,
? Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
,
? Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facility.
,
? Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency.

? May also include patient escort, patient watch, provide safety escort, assist and/or transport deceased to morgue.

Requirements
? Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations.

? Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
,
? Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
,
? Must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification.
