Security Analyst IntermediateProject Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for Extension)Work Location: Remote (Some travel onsite for meetings 2 weeks per year)Hours/Week: 37 HoursWork Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMScope of the Project:This project focuses on Medicaid Security for Payment Processing Systems. The selected resource will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive financial and healthcare data. You will work cross-functionally with multiple teams to enhance system security and reduce risk.Daily Duties / Responsibilities:Conduct vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation efforts with the responsible teamsDeploy, configure, and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) toolsReview and evaluate firewall access requestsResearch and assess newly disclosed security vulnerabilities for potential impactAssist with incident response and forensic investigationsSupport Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) assessmentsCreate and fine-tune SIEM alerts based on telemetry from various security toolsPreferred Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance):Experience performing log analysis and query construction in a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systemFamiliarity with Palo Alto Firewalls and associated management practicesUnderstanding of NIST 800-53 security control frameworksRequired Education:High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Certifications:CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security-related certificationEmployers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
