Securities Litigation Associate

They are seeking an Associate to join their Securities Litigation team in New York, where the candidate will litigate securities fraud matters on behalf of clients and work towards achieving market transparency and accountability for wrongdoers. Responsibilities Litigate securities fraud matters on behalf of the firm’s clients Work towards achieving precedent-setting reforms to increase market transparency Hold wrongdoers accountable and improve corporate business practices Skills JD is required (2020-2021 law school graduates preferred); must be admitted to the New York Bar and/or the California Bar Related experience, primarily in securities litigation, class actions, or other complex litigation experience is required Strong academic and professional credentials required; judicial clerkships are a plus Excellent writing and legal research skills Strong financial literacy is required Entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive approach, and the readiness to take opportunity and run with it is necessary Desire to represent investors rather than corporations Ability and desire to take a meaningful role in multiple complex cases, often opposite significantly more senior lawyers Excellent time management, multitasking and communication skills are essential Company Overview Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP ("BLB&G"​) is a leading law firm advising institutional investors on issues related to corporate governance, shareholder rights, and securities litigation.It was founded in 1983, and is headquartered in New York, New York, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
