This position requires experience and knowledge in various career fields, including but not limited to: Graphic Design & Multimedia Art, Accounting & Financial Services, Marketing & Sales, Diagnostic & Therapeutic Services, Teacher & Training, Family & Community Services, Floral Design & Plant Science. This position aligns well with those who have a deep understanding of virtual teaching methodologies, technology integration, and the ability to inspire and engage virtual students.Essential DutiesDevelop and adapt curriculum materials that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of virtual students.Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment, implementing effective strategies for student engagement, participation, and behavior management.Utilize innovative and interactive teaching methods to deliver engaging CTE lessons, incorporating multimedia resources, discussion forums, and collaborative activities during live sessions during scheduled learning activities. Participate in live learning sessions, in addition to preparing recorded learning activities, for all students, with support from the designated Department Chair. Design, administer, and assess student assignments, projects, and exams. Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students in their academic progress.Offer additional support and resources to students who may require extra assistance, ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to succeed.Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and collaborating on strategies to support student success.Stay informed about best practices in online education, CTE curriculum developments, and virtual teaching methodologies. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.Knowledge, Skills & AttributesAt least 2 years’ experience teaching in a related subject, preferably in a virtual classroom setting or similar environment.A strong, demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.A desire to live our #KidsFirstAlways value in every interaction.Commitment to data-driven instructional practices.Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platforms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt teaching strategies to the virtual learning environment.Education & Certification RequirementsA bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required; a Master’s is preferred. A valid Oregon teaching license with endorsements in CTE (Speech, Business communications, Floral Design/Plant Science, Family & Community Services, Teacher Training, Diagnostic & Therapeutic Services, Marketing & Sales, Accounting & Finance, and Graphic Design & Multimedia Art) or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).Employment "At-Will" For W-2 employment, Stellar Virtual is an at-will employer.
