Duties • Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations using tax software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks and Sage • Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations • Assist clients with tax planning strategies and answer inquiries related to tax filings • Maintain organized records of client information and documentation • Utilize accounting software to perform bookkeeping, data entry, and analysis tasks • Support marketing efforts by promoting services to potential clients and expanding the firm’s client base • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and financial regulations to ensure compliance • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally Qualifications • Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial fields • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and technical accounting practices • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms • Knowledge of financial sales, marketing strategies, and customer service techniques • Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry (10 key typing skills) • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment during the seasonal period • Strong math skills and familiarity with bookkeeping processes • Effective communication skills to explain complex financial information clearly • Prior experience with corporate accounting or financial software is a plus This position offers an engaging opportunity for finance professionals or students seeking practical experience while earning commission-based income during the tax season.
