About the Role We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fulfillment Center Associate to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you'll be responsible for optimizing inventory movements, restocking, and shipment preparation to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of PETCO merchandise. Key Responsibilities: Optimally manage warehouse inventory movements and restocking to facilitate prompt and accurate shipment preparation of PETCO merchandise Execute various tasks multiple times a day, including verifying assigned duties, operating forklift machinery, and scanning barcodes using a handheld computer device Employ forklift machinery, including pallet jacks, stand-up lifts, and turret trucks, for effortless operation Systematically carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds by repetitive lifting motions Work collaboratively with the team to achieve exceptional results and prioritize the success of our pets, pet owners, and associates Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you'll need: Previous experience in a warehouse or supply chain management environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, and bending Strong attention to detail and ability to verify assigned duties with or without support or accommodations Experience with digital pick-module operation and forklift machinery Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and prioritize the success of our pets, pet owners, and associates Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a pet care or animal-related industry Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations Experience with handheld computer devices and barcode scanning Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, as required Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Attention to detail: ability to verify assigned duties and ensure accurate shipment preparation Physical stamina: ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical exertion Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve exceptional results Communication: ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management Problem-solving: ability to think critically and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Petco, we're committed to helping our associates grow and develop in their careers.
