Seasonal Tax Preparer

Taxzone is expanding our remote team for the upcoming tax season! We’re looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals who want to begin a career in tax preparation. No prior tax experience is required — we provide training, tools, and ongoing support to help you succeed. This is an independent contractor position, offering flexibility, growth potential, and the chance to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Responsibilities • Assist clients with preparing individual tax returns under the supervision and guidance of senior preparers. • Gather and organize client financial documents (W-2s, 1099s, prior returns, receipts, etc.). • Communicate with clients via phone, email, or video to answer basic tax-related questions. • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while following IRS guidelines and ethical standards. • Schedule and manage virtual appointments with clients. • Continue learning and developing tax-preparation knowledge through provided training and mentorship. Qualifications • No prior tax-preparation experience required — training provided. • Must be willing to obtain a valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number). • Eager to learn and comfortable asking questions. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions. • Good communication and organizational skills. • Professional and customer-service oriented attitude. • High School Diploma or GED required. • Must have access to a reliable internet connection and computer.
