Fostering a 'safety first' culture through awareness, training, and accountability, and working with carriers to ensure compliance with safety expectations. Operating Target-owned vehicles for yard audit routines and updating the yard management system to reflect the current status of all trailers. Communicating effectively with DC executives regarding trailer needs and progress, and monitoring trailer releases to ensure timely deliveries to stores. Conducting trailer inventories and ensuring equipment is available for preventive maintenance checks. Collaborating with First Mile Transportation to monitor trailer pools and freight flow. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school degree or equivalent. A valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one. To be at least 18 years of age or older. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a high-volume, high-activity environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves: While not required, the following experience and skills are highly desirable: Direct experience within a distribution center truck yard or traffic management.
